The Peritoneal Dialysis Society of India(PDSI) was founded in 1996 to promote advanced knowledge of peritoneal dialysis and the advancement of such knowledge through national scientific meetings and publications. The Society is organized exclusively for educational and scientific purposes and advancing peritoneal dialysis. Although it started with small numbers, its membership now exceeds 562. The Society holds annual meetings and publishes a journal-Indian Journal of Peritoneal Dialysis.
The first PDSI conference(PDSICON) was held in 1997 at Bangalore, and after that, it was held every year except during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Dr Georgi Abraham is the founder president of PDSI.PDSICON is the most popular amongnephrologist and physicians who likes peritoneal dialysis and the only national conference for peritoneal dialysis care team.
